Kazakhstan has agreed on test oil supplies to Hungary via the Druzhba pipeline, which runs through Ukraine, during 2025.
On February 17, a meeting was held in Astana between the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Almasadam Satkaliyev and the Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Szijjarto. During the talks, the parties discussed the main areas of bilateral cooperation in the energy sector. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan.
Thus, special attention was paid to cooperation in the oil and gas sector between the companies KazMunayGas and MOL Group.
The ministers noted the importance of effective development of the Rozhkovske gas condensate field, in the development of which both companies are involved.
While one of the key aspects of the negotiations was the issue of supplying Kazakh oil to Hungary via the Druzhba pipeline. The parties agreed to conduct test deliveries in 2025.
Kazakhstan also expressed interest in Hungary’s experience in the production of dry cooling towers for nuclear power plants, in particular the experience of the MVM Group company.
Earlier, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó announced on his Facebook page the possibility of blocking Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.
